Halo brows bring a fun and quirky twist to the beauty scene

Halo Brows: The Loopy Beauty Trend Stirring Up Social Media

Brows Get Bolder

Eyebrows have become a major beauty playground. Scroll through TikTok or Instagram, and you’ll find everything from unicorn horns to Nike swooshes and fishtail brows.

Now, a fresh—and decidedly quirky—trend has joined the party: halo brows.

Social Media Sparks the Look

Like most viral beauty experiments, halo brows were born online. This bold new style forms a looped arc that connects both brows across the forehead, creating a halo effect.

The mastermind? Hannah Lyne, a 16-year-old influencer from the UK. She posted the design on Instagram, and it quickly went viral.

“We were chatting about fishtail brows,” she captioned the photo. “Then we came up with this.”

In an interview with Pop Sugar, Lyne confirmed she wasn’t joking. “The look was inspired by fishtail brows,” she said. “I just thought—what if I connected my brow tails?”

Speaking with Yahoo Style, she added, “I want people to feel free to be silly and creative!”

Internet Reacts: Genius or Joke?

As expected, reactions flooded in. Some fans loved it.

  • “I love it!” wrote one Instagram user.

  • “Your talent is endless,” said another.

  • A third commented, “You’re so creative! How do you come up with these ideas?”

But not everyone was impressed.

  • “Vomits uncontrollably,” one user scoffed.

  • “Is she serious?” asked another.

  • Someone joked, “Instagram? More like Instaregret.”

Some even threatened to delete the app because of the post.

Still, Cosmopolitan offered praise, calling halo brows “strangely beautiful” and “the heavenly new arch.”

Beauty Is Getting Bizarre—and That’s Okay

Even if the look isn’t for you, trends like halo brows show how makeup continues to evolve. They push boundaries, challenge norms, and spark conversation.

So—would you try the halo brow or stick to your tweezers and wax? Let us know, then share this with your friends to hear what they think too!
